On December 18th (Thursday), the TVING Original 〈Villains〉 will be released, and on the 9th, character stills of 'Villains' Yoo Ji-tae and Lee Min-jung, who have jumped into the thrilling game of desire, were unveiled.
〈Villains〉, which will be simultaneously released in Korea, the Asia-Pacific, Japan, and more through global streaming services, is a super crime action depicting the bloody clashes and confrontations of villains surrounding the ultra-precise counterfeit bill, the supernote. Those who try to exchange counterfeit bills for real ones, and the unpredictable brain games of the 'tough' ones trying to take back the money they exchanged, unfold with thrilling intensity.
Director Jin Hyuk, who has written success stories with every work he directs such as 〈Sisyphus〉, 〈The Legend of the Blue Sea〉, and 〈Master's Sun〉, takes the megaphone, and director Kim Hyung-jun, who directed the crime thriller film 〈No Mercy〉, is in charge of writing, raising expectations for the birth of a crime action piece of a different dimension.


Above all, there is hot anticipation for the meeting of Yoo Ji-tae and Lee Min-jung, who have returned with new faces. In the released photos, the appearance of Jae (played by Yoo Ji-tae) and Han Soo-hyun (played by Lee Min-jung), who have started the perfect 'supernote' game design, stimulates curiosity. First, Jae's sharp gaze holding the ultra-precise counterfeit bill 'supernote' captures attention. Jae, a crime designer with a genius brain and a 100% success rate, who designed the 'casino dealer counterfeit bill incident' that turned the world upside down, lays the board of desire. His sharp expression, drawing a thoroughly calculated plan, remains unwavering.
Top currency design artist Han Soo-hyun also draws attention. Her appearance disguised as a casino dealer for the operation is intriguing. Han Soo-hyun, who joined hands with designer Jae and jumped into the 'supernote' game board. However, after an incident that turned her life upside down, she begins her move to overturn the board, waiting only for the moment of retribution. What was the incident that changed Han Soo-hyun's life, and what will be her role in the fierce battleground of villains?
Meanwhile, the tense atmosphere of Jae and Han Soo-hyun, who have started a collaboration hiding different desires, is also unusual. In the 'supernote' game entangled with collaboration and betrayal, it raises curiosity whether the two can achieve their respective goals.
Yoo Ji-tae said, "I was impressed by writer Kim Hyung-jun's dense and detailed script, and I was happy to participate, trusting director Jin Hyuk." He pointed out that the most attractive point of 'Jae' is his overwhelming ability and his own composure, and he said, "To build a character with a unique rhythm, different from existing villains, I referred to works of various genres," stimulating anticipation.
Lee Min-jung also said, "The character was intense, and the development of deception was very attractive. The confrontation structure between Jae and other characters is fun, and viewers will be able to enjoy it with curiosity about the ending as the episodes progress," explaining the reason for choosing the work. She also said about the character 'Han Soo-hyun', "A strong character who fights and overcomes miserable situations with her whole body," and "As it's the first genre piece I'm presenting, I'm also looking forward to Han Soo-hyun's appearance and waiting for the first broadcast."
