On the 10th (local time), Disney+ released episodes 1 and 2 of the original series 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' Season 2, based on the bestseller by Rick Riordan.

◆ A Dangerous Journey to the 'Sea of Monsters'

This season is based on the second story of the original novel, 'The Sea of Monsters'. Percy Jackson (played by Walker Scobell) embarks on an adventure to the Bermuda Triangle, known as the Sea of Monsters, to find the legendary 'Golden Fleece' and save the endangered Camp Half-Blood and his kidnapped friend Grover (played by Aryan Simhadri).

The most notable change is the expanded runtime. The production team has responded to fans' feedback regarding the short length of Season 1, increasing the runtime of each episode this season to 40-50 minutes to enhance narrative density.

While the original golden trio (Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri) remains intact, a new face has joined. Emmy Award-winning actor Courtney B. Vance takes on the role of the king of Olympus, Zeus, showcasing overwhelming charisma.

The reception for the series remains strong. This work, which has a Rotten Tomatoes freshness score of 95%, has been praised for its faithful representation of the original world and the actors' improved performances.

Disney has officially confirmed the production of Season 3 alongside the release of Season 2. Season 3 will cover the third book of the original series, 'The Titan's Curse'.

'Percy Jackson' Season 2 consists of a total of 8 episodes, with episodes 1 and 2 released today, and new episodes will be released sequentially every Wednesday on Disney+ and Hulu.
