'Endless Scarlet' Luxurious Cast Gathered... Voice Actor Casting Lineup Revealed

The fantasy animation 'Endless Scarlet', which has garnered attention for director Mamoru Hosoda's beautiful animation, has revealed its luxurious voice cast that will bring the work to life.

〈Endless Scarlet〉 is a fantasy animation depicting Scarlet's time-transcending adventure that begins with revenge for her father's death. Inspired by William Shakespeare's tragedy 〈Hamlet〉, this work showcases an original fantasy worldview under the direction of Mamoru Hosoda.

The protagonist Scarlet, who embarks on a journey of revenge for her father, is played by actress Mana Ashida. Starting her career as a child actor in the film 'Pacific Rim', Mana Ashida has lent her voice to numerous animations including 'The Lonely Castle in the Mirror', and she is expected to add depth to her character in this work. Joining her on Scarlet's journey is the character Hijiri, played by Masaki Okada from the film 'Drive My Car'. Notably, Mana Ashida and Masaki Okada will collaborate for the second time since the film 'Star's Child', drawing attention to the synergy they will present.

The ruthless villain Claudius, who killed his brother and his daughter to seize the crown, is played by Koji Yakusho, promising an overwhelming presence. This marks his third collaboration with director Mamoru Hosoda, following 'The Boy and the Beast' and 'Mirai'.

The supporting cast is also filled with world-renowned actors. Yutaka Matsushige from the 'Solitary Gourmet' series plays Claudius's aide Cornelius, while Munetaka Aoki, who starred as a global villain in 'The Outlaws 3', takes on the role of the servant Rosencrantz, enhancing the immersion of the story. Additionally, Shota Sometani, who has consistently performed voice acting in works such as 'Suzume's Door Locking', joins as Gildonston, who threatens Scarlet's life, adding tension to the piece.

Produced by Studio Chizu and presented by Sony Pictures, this work is expected to captivate audiences with its stunning animation and grand scale.

The fantasy epic 〈Endless Scarlet〉, completed by jewel-like actors from the Japanese film industry with their voices, is set to be released in Korean CGV on January 14, 2026.
