

Actor Son Hyun-joo is taking on his first animation voice acting challenge through the film Ne Zha 2.
Ne Zha 2 is a work that announces the arrival of a tremendous being that will shake the three realms of gods, humans, and monsters, capturing the adventure of the troublemaker 'Ne Zha' who was born differently and will change his fate. It is a sensational work that has set box office records in China and attracted global attention. With its release in South Korea set for February 2026, actor Son Hyun-joo has joined the luxurious voice cast as the character 'Mu Liang'.
Mu Liang is a character representing the realm of immortals among the three realms and is the king of the immortals. However, he is known to have a hidden charm that is easily offended and can handle both action and comedy. Son Hyun-joo's exceptional acting skills are expected to further highlight the character's appeal.
Son Hyun-joo expressed, "It’s a different kind of work, so I don’t know how it will turn out. I have done a lot of documentary narrations, but this is my first challenge with an animated film." He continued, "It was fun, but it wasn’t easy and was difficult. However, if given the opportunity, I would not hesitate to do it again," revealing that he has become deeply fascinated by voice acting.
Regarding his participation, he stated, "I chose Mu Liang because he is an increasingly charming and cute character, and I decided because each character is alive in the animation." Son Hyun-joo's 'Mu Liang', bursting with cuteness behind his seriousness, will be available in theaters this February.
