Min Hee-jin, former CEO of Ador who gained fame as the producer of NewJeans, is embarking on the production of a new boy group through her newly established entertainment agency, ooak records.

On the 5th, CEO Min stated, "The essence of entertainment lies in enhancing the quality of life through small daily happiness," and expressed her ambition to plan a boy group with sincerity as a producer, staying true to that essence.

On the same day, ooak records announced the news of the boy group production by releasing 23 campaign videos on their official social media. The campaign video was produced in a format that conveys a recruitment message against the backdrop of digital billboards around the city, featuring a billboard with the title 'WANTED' and a message recruiting individuals born between 2008 and 2013. This is interpreted as an indication of an audition targeting ages 13 to 18.

CEO Min established the entertainment agency ooak records in October last year, marking her independent journey. This announcement comes about 11 months after she left Ador in November 2024.

Having come from SM Entertainment, CEO Min joined Big Hit Entertainment, the predecessor of HYBE, in 2019 and oversaw the production of NewJeans. NewJeans, which dominated music charts upon debut and is regarded as the pinnacle of the fourth generation girl groups, proved CEO Min's exceptional producing capabilities.

However, her relationship with HYBE was not smooth. CEO Min was dismissed from her position at Ador in August 2024 after conflicts arose over issues of gratitude with HYBE.

Additionally, CEO Min is currently embroiled in a lawsuit seeking 43 billion won in damages against Ador. Ador is demanding compensation for losses incurred during CEO Min's management, while her side is countering with claims of damages due to wrongful dismissal. As the legal dispute continues, the industry is focusing on CEO Min's new boy group project.
