The much-anticipated thriller movie has landed on Disney+.
On the 4th, Disney+ released the movie 〈The Woman in the White Car〉. 〈The Woman in the White Car〉 begins with Do-kyung (Jung Ryeo-won) arriving at the hospital with her bloodied sister on a night when heavy snow is falling, giving a confused statement to the police officer Hyun-joo (Lee Jung-eun) assigned to the case. As each person involved in the case presents different memories of the suspect, the process of tracking down the truth shrouded in mystery offers intense immersion.
The biggest highlight of this work is undoubtedly the actors' performances. Jung Ryeo-won, returning to the screen after seven years, delicately portrays a complex psychological state mixed with anxiety and fear, showcasing a presence that makes her absence feel insignificant. Additionally, Lee Jung-eun, who captivated the global stage with the movie 〈Parasite〉, excellently expresses the tenacity of the police pursuing the truth of the case.
The directing skills of director Ko Hye-jin, who took the megaphone, also stand out. Having built a solid filmography by participating in the direction of dramas like 〈The Attorney〉 and 〈In the Woods Where No One Is〉, director Ko has densely unfolded female narratives in this, her first feature film. It is said that she harmoniously combined the visual element of white snow with a mysterious atmosphere to present a high-quality debut work.
The well-made thriller 〈The Woman in the White Car〉 is now available for viewing on Disney+.
