Volvo Cars Collaborates with Grammy Winner EJAE to Release New Song 'Time After Time'

Volvo Cars has officially released the new song 'Time After Time' in collaboration with Grammy Award winner EJAE.

On the 11th, Volvo Cars announced the release of a new song in collaboration with EJAE (35), the first K-pop artist to win a Grammy Award, who is both a singer and songwriter. Volvo introduced this work as EJAE's first solo lyrics and composition since his debut, marking a new milestone as an artist.

The new song 'Time After Time' was inspired by EJAE's unique music production process known as 'Car Test'. EJAE is known for conducting final checks of completed songs inside a vehicle, and his past experience of recording melodies of his hit songs as voice memos in the car became a key motif for this project.

Volvo Cars utilized the mid-size SUV XC60 for this collaboration. The XC60 features a Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system with 15 high-performance speakers and a quiet, comfortable interior, providing the best music listening environment for artists. The new song even incorporates the unique turn signal sound of the XC60.

Janik Helson, Head of Brand Marketing for Volvo Cars USA, stated, "EJAE is an artist who understands better than anyone that the quality of music is not determined solely in the studio." He added, "His meticulous approach to refining details in the space of a car naturally aligns with Volvo's philosophy."

EJAE is the protagonist who won the Grammy trophy for the first time in K-pop by winning the 'Best Song Written for Visual Media' category at the 68th Grammy Awards on the 1st with the OST 'Golden' from the globally popular Netflix animated film 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉.
