The image of the prince, Byun Woo-seok, who has fallen in love, has finally been unveiled.
Ahead of its first broadcast on April 10, MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 〈Perfect Crown〉 released a teaser video featuring the main character, Prince Ian, on the 12th, heightening viewers' excitement.
The released video begins with the intense gaze of Prince Ian (Byun Woo-seok), who effectively leads the royal family in place of the young king. He receives national support due to his innate grace and strong character, but as the 'second son of the royal family' who cannot become king, he faces constant scrutiny from royal forces, including Queen Yoon Yi-rang (Kong Seung-yeon).
However, even the cold charisma of Prince Ian is disarmed in front of Seong Hee-joo (IU). He gently reassures her, who is anxious, saying, "Stay still," "Are you scared?" and "It's for you," while also being a strong support as they waltz together, stimulating the viewers' heart rates. In particular, the 'contract marriage' he chose to change his fate leads to a peculiar excitement between the two, signaling the beginning of a full-fledged romance.
The tension-filled developments cannot be missed. The appearance of dark forces targeting Prince Ian, a fierce car chase, and his bloodied collapse hint at a tumultuous journey ahead. Queen Yoon Yi-rang's chilling warning, "Hunting requires patience," foreshadows the fierce power struggles within the royal family, adding to the intrigue.
〈Perfect Crown〉 is set against the backdrop of a constitutional monarchy in the 21st century Republic of Korea, depicting the romance of a woman who is frustrated despite having everything due to her commoner status and a man who is sad because he is the king's son but can have nothing. This work, which anticipates Prince Ian's journey to break free from the limits of status and his deep melodrama with Seong Hee-joo, will premiere on April 10 at 9:40 PM on MBC.
