〈Kiki's Delivery Service〉 is landing in IMAX in Korea.
With an April 15 release on the horizon, 〈Kiki's Delivery Service〉 has confirmed an IMAX showing a week earlier. Meeting audiences on April 8 at CGV IMAX theaters in Korea, 〈Kiki's Delivery Service〉 tells the story of 13-year-old witch Kiki challenging herself to deliver goods in a seaside town, making it one of Studio Ghibli's masterpieces.
The poster released alongside the announcement of the IMAX premiere features a landscape painted by director Yoshifumi Kondo and an illustration of Kiki's face by character designer Katsuya Kondo, encapsulating the film’s sensibility. The upcoming release of 〈Kiki's Delivery Service〉 has been enhanced with more vivid visuals and sound thanks to the 4K remastering process, especially in IMAX, where the large screen offers an overwhelming sense of openness with sharper image quality and immersive sound that fills the space, allowing for a more vibrant flight experience with Kiki.
〈Kiki's Delivery Service〉 will begin IMAX screenings on April 8 and is set to open in theaters nationwide on April 15.
