
With its official invitation to the 75th Berlinale, the film My Name Is has released a ‘Berlinale Vlog’ capturing the excitement of the festival, earning rave reviews from critics around the world.

The released vlog showcases the stunning journey of the My Name Is team, from the excitement-filled departure to the dazzling red carpet event, and to the premiere screening where they interacted with local audiences. Despite the inclement weather, director Jung Ji-young and actors Yum Hye-ran and Shin Woo-bin received the spotlight from local media with bright smiles, and the applause and cheers that followed the screening confirmed the global stature of the work.
Notably, the video captures the emotional moment when the actors, who greeted the audience with anxious expressions before the screening, were teary-eyed as they received a loud standing ovation when the ending credits rolled. The ensuing Q&A session with the audience provided profound insights into the film's historical context from director Jung Ji-young.

Scheduled for release on April 15, My Name Is tells the story of 18-year-old ‘Young-ok’ (played by Shin Woo-bin) who wants to erase his awkward name, and his mother ‘Jeong-soon’ (played by Yum Hye-ran) who seeks to reclaim her painful memories from 1949 in Jeju.
This film, which carries the intense heat of Berlin, will bring forth the sad promise buried deeply for 77 years to the surface, delivering a profound and brilliant resonance to theaters this spring.
