The Late Ryuichi Sakamoto’s Final Cinematic Essay, 'Diary', featuring Special GVs with Hwang Soyoon and Yoon Sang

The documentary captures an intimate record of the beloved musician Ryuichi Sakamoto from the last 3 years and 6 months before his passing. A special Gala Screening (GV) featuring Hwang Soyoon from the band New Youth (March 21) and prominent musician Yoon Sang (March 27). A premiere screening is set for the weekend of March 21–22 before the official release on April 1.

〈Ryuichi Sakamoto: Diary〉 is the last cinematic essay containing the intimate record of the beloved musician Ryuichi Sakamoto's last 3 years and 6 months, unreleased music, and reflections on life. Before its release, various schedules were revealed to meet the audience, among which the two special GVs caught the eyes of potential viewers.

On Saturday, March 21, Hwang Soyoon from 'New Youth' will take part in a special Gala Screening. Hwang Soyoon, who shared a close bond with Ryuichi Sakamoto during his lifetime, will recount various stories, including memories and the lasting impact of his music. Then, on Friday, March 27, musician Yoon Sang is expected to engage in a deeper conversation about Ryuichi Sakamoto's music and life from the perspective of a leading musician in Korea.

Scheduled for release on April 1, 〈Ryuichi Sakamoto: Diary〉 will meet audiences through premiere screenings centered around art cinemas such as Cinecube, Emu Cinema, and Leica Cinema over the two days of March 21 and 22, in addition to the two special GVs.
