The group BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) has made its strong desire known: it wants to take the stage at the U.S. Super Bowl Halftime Show, widely dubbed the “dream stage” for pop artists.

In an interview with the influential U.S. music publication Rolling Stone, released on the 13th (local time), BTS candidly shared its future goals and musical concerns without holding back.

In particular, leader RM mentioned the global spread of Korean culture, citing films such as ‘Parasite,’ and said, “If I get the chance, I definitely want to perform at the Super Bowl someday.” The members also noted that earlier this year at “the 2026 U.S. Super Bowl”, they were deeply impressed by Latin pop superstar Bad Bunny’s performance, which captivated audiences around the world in Spanish. Jin added, “If we were to stand on that stage, I’m imagining how our performance would look,” and didn’t hide his excitement.

While the members shared their joy in reuniting and restarting group activities after their military service hiatus, they also discussed realistic concerns about the fast-changing landscape of popular music trends.

Suga talked about the difficulties he felt as the release process for the album 〈Arirang〉, whose recording wrapped up last September, took longer than expected. He said, “Time goes by so quickly, and trends change in an instant,” adding, “When we were making the album, we had no idea at all what genre would be popular right now.” He then added, “For this reason, for the time being, I’m thinking about releasing songs in the form of singles or mini albums, rather than full-length albums with a longer runtime.”
