Watch Basketball in a Movie Theater... CGV to Host Pro Basketball KBL Finals Game 1 Viewing Party on May 5

CJ CGV announced on the 28th that it will collaborate with the KBL and tvN SPORTS to hold a viewing party for Game 1 of the 2025-2026 LG Electronics KBL Finals, the pro basketball championship series.

The event will be held on May 5 at 1:00 PM in Theater 2 of CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall. Before the game starts, there will be a preview show highlighting the key things to watch, followed by a live broadcast of Game 1 of the KBL Finals on the big screen. Actor Kwon Yul, comedian Jo Jin-se, and announcer Oh Hyo-joo will be on site to watch the game with the audience.

All attendees will receive souvenirs such as popcorn and cola, a KBL character keyring, and cheering tools (clappers). A photo zone will also be set up in the theater lobby, and additional on-site events such as raffles (lucky draws) will be held.

Tickets for the viewing party can be reserved through the CGV website and mobile app starting April 30. Games 2 through 7, which will take place after Game 1, are planned to be broadcast live at CGV theaters near the away teams' home cities.

CJ CGV said it planned the event to deliver an immersive, stadium-like experience by using the theater's large screen and sound system. The viewing party will also be simulcast live on the tvN SPORTS channel.
