At the end of the century in 1999, the neighborhood oddballs who accidentally develop superpowers go all out to protect the world from villains that threaten peace in the superpowered comedic adventure 〈The WONDERfools〉​, which has unveiled character stills for its four-person crew in Haeseong City. The revealed stills capture ‘Eunchae-ni’ (Park Eun-bin), ‘Son Kyung-hoon’ (Choi Dae-hoon), ‘Kang Ro-bin’ (Im Seong-jae), and ‘Lee Woon-jeong’ (Cha Eun-woo), who finds himself unintentionally entangled with them, drawing attention with their presence.

‘Chae-ni,’ the granddaughter of ‘Big Hands Dining,’ the top restaurant in Haeseong City, has lived giving up everything after a heart condition she has suffered since childhood—so she has grown up with a reckless streak, earning the nickname ‘Haeseong City’s Official Hot Mess.’ In the stills, ‘Chae-ni’ looks flustered and bewildered by her teleportation ability that seems to trigger at any time, heightening anticipation for unpredictable situations to come. ‘Woon-jeong,’ a special-deployment government official in Haeseong City’s civil complaints office with a past shrouded in mystery, is a superpowered person who can use telekinesis—but just as he tries to hide it and live quietly, he gets tangled up with the trio of Haeseong City.
