'Legend of Korean Blues' Shinchon Blues announces a new leap from Hongdae

Shinchon Blues, a living legend in the history of Korean popular music, will hold the small-venue concert '40+1' at Space Brick in Hongdae, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Vision Entertainment, the organizer, said that the performances will take place on both the 14th and 15th, and will be an authoritative stage that once again proves the true spirit of Korean blues.

A leap beyond the 40th year of formation, and the meaning contained in '40+1'

The title of this concert, '40+1,' was completed by adding '1,' symbolizing the start of a new musical journey, to '40,' the number that marks the 40th anniversary of Shinchon Blues' formation last year. It reflects the band's firm determination not to rest on past glory, but to evolve endlessly. Kicking off with this stage, Shinchon Blues plans to continue their small-venue regular performances each season up to this winter and stay in close sync with audiences.

The return of the standout vocalist Heo Dal-im Kang… Hints of a powerful synergy

In particular, this concert features the singer Heo Dal-im Kang, who served as Shinchon Blues' vocalist from 2003 to 2004 and showcased overwhelming vocal prowess, joining the lineup at full speed. The reunion of a legendary band representing Korean blues and a vocalist with a distinctive, unmatched tone is being touted as the biggest highlight of this small-venue concert, drawing explosive anticipation from music fans.
