
This year’s much-anticipated Netflix title 〈The Palace〉 has finally locked in its release date.
A meeting of elite cast and a one-of-a-kind premise Netflix announced on June 12 that it will release its original series 〈The Palace〉 on July 17, unveiling the release-date poster. 〈The Palace〉 tells the story of Gucheon (Nam Joo-hyuk), who has the power to cross over into the realm of spirits, and a court lady named Saenggang (Noh Yoon-seo), who keeps a secret, as they answer the king’s (Jo Seung-woo) summons and dig into the curse that has taken hold of the palace’s royal quarters.
A poster with a distinct mood that grabs attention The drama drew heavy anticipation by pairing a top-tier lineup—Nam Joo-hyuk, Noh Yoon-seo, and Jo Seung-woo—with a unique premise not commonly seen in existing Korean dramas. The release-date poster shows Gucheon standing above a pond where the spirits’ presence coils around his feet, raising expectations for the series’ distinctive atmosphere.
A top July must-watch completed by masters of genre fare 〈The Devil Judge〉 Director Choi Jung-gyu and 〈Hand the Guest〉 writers Kwon So-ra and Seo Jae-won have joined forces on 〈The Palace〉, which viewers can watch on Netflix on Friday, July 17.
