Jun Ji-hyun X Koo Gyo-hwan’s “Colony” Reclaims No. 1 at the Box Office in a Day—500 Million Views in Sight

〈Colony〉 is back at No. 1, putting 5 million admissions within reach.

The film 〈Colony〉 depicts a string of incidents that unfold as a virus spreads inside a building. After it opened on May 21, it steadily held onto the top spot at the box office and surpassed 4 million admissions. But on June 10, director Steven Spielberg’s new film 〈Disclosure Day〉 opened and knocked it from the No. 1 position.

However, on June 11, 〈Colony〉 reclaimed the No. 1 spot at the box office. At the same time, it logged 4.91 million cumulative admissions, signaling that the 5 million mark is close at hand. 〈Colony〉 is further boosting box-office momentum by releasing a steady stream of special videos centered on zombie actors, along with a variety of audience events.
