Chung-chung-chung〉 and Kim Seung-ju’s top-tier collaboration music video was released, drawing attention.
Film 〈Chung-chung-chung〉 unveiled a collaboration music video for singer-songwriter Kim Seung-ju’s ‘The Lead’s Rules’ on June 26. 〈Chung-chung-chung〉 is the debut work of director Han Kyung-rok, a film that tells the story of a teenager who decides to risk everything to save his beloved Jisuk. The meeting between 〈Chung-chung-chung〉—which received evaluations of being daring and shocking—and ‘The Lead’s Rules,’ Kim Seung-ju’s song in which he declares that he will stay inside the foolish lead’s rules, further highlights the film’s power.
In the released music video, the boy-manga-like side of the courageous character, who charges headlong toward the protagonists living their own lives while colliding with the world, and toward Jisuk played by Baek Ji-hye, stands out. This cartoon-like imagination blends with and delivers synergy alongside the explosive rock-based band sound of ‘The Lead’s Rules.’ The raw energy and heat contained in 〈Chung-chung-chung〉 are portrayed vividly through the song’s relentless forward drive.
Currently screening in theaters nationwide, 〈Chung-chung-chung〉 has earned recognition for its artistic merit after winning the 30th Busan International Film Festival Busan Awards Jury Special Prize, the 51st Seoul Independent Film Festival New Choice Award, the 14th Muju Sanggol Film Festival Director Award, and more.
