〈The Devil Wears Prada 2〉 will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on July 29, Walt Disney Company Korea announced June 30.

〈The Devil Wears Prada 2〉 is the official follow-up, produced 20 years after the 2006 original. The new installment follows Miranda, the editor of the fictional fashion magazine Runway, and Andy, who returns as a features editor two decades later, as they reunite with Emily, now a luxury brand executive. The story centers on intense career competition as characters vie to reclaim leadership in fashion amid a rapidly changing digital media landscape.

〈The Devil Wears Prada 2〉 drew attention as soon as production began by reuniting the original cast. Meryl Streep returns as Miranda, joined by Anne Hathaway as Andy, Emily Blunt as Emily and Stanley Tucci as Nigel. Director David Frankel, who directed the original, reunited with writer Aline Brosh McKenna for the sequel, reinforcing its ties to the original.

When the film opened in domestic theaters this spring, lead actors Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway made promotional visits to Korea, where they received enthusiastic support. The film opened at No. 1 on its first day and recorded the biggest opening of the first half of 2026. Its cumulative worldwide box office exceeded $678 million (about 940 billion won), more than twice the original's total.

Set against a more cutthroat digital-era fashion industry, 〈The Devil Wears Prada 2〉 is rated for viewers 12 and older, runs 119 minutes and will begin streaming on Disney+ on July 29.
