‘Sang-namja’ Disney+ Release Confirmed! Park Jeong-min Rewinds as a Corporate Rookie CEO

He climbed to the CEO chair at a major conglomerate chasing only success—but the next day, he loses everything, and rewinds back 20 years to his days as a new hire.

Popular Naver webtoon 〈Sang-namja〉 is being produced as a series. 〈Sang-namja〉 is an office time-rewind story about a man who rises to the CEO spot at a major conglomerate by pursuing nothing but success—only to lose everything overnight—then rewinds back 20 years to his new-hire days to carve out a new life again. The original work is the eponymous web novel by writer Kim Tae-gung, which was turned into a webtoon in 2020 and first rolled out on Naver Webtoon. 『Sang-namja』 has surpassed 470 million cumulative global views, and it has been translated into a wide range of languages, including English, Japanese, Indonesian, and Thai, winning overwhelming love from readers around the world.

Park Jeong-min, who has shown a broad range of acting credits including the film 〈Face〉 , 〈Smuggling〉 , and 〈Deliver Us from Evil〉 , leads the drama as Han Yoo-hyun. Yoo-hyun climbs from an ordinary staff member to become the youngest CEO, backed by strong execution and a feel for the field—but he loses everything overnight. After that, through an unexpected turn of events, he returns to the days of his new-hire life from 20 years ago, gets a fresh chance to set right the past full of regret, and moves toward a new ending. With Park Jeong-min showing transformations that surpass expectations in every project, anticipation is building for yet another life character he will bring to life.

The Hansung Electronics product planning team 4 unit, which Han Yoo-hyun joins again as a new hire, is also filled with distinctive characters. Bae Seong-woo, a heavyweight actor in films 〈End-of-the-Line Investigation〉 and the drama 〈The 8 Show〉, plays the role of Manager Kim Hyun-min, who has a sharp insight hidden behind his laid-back exterior. Kim Ji-hyun, from 〈UDT: Our Neighborhood Special Forces〉 , 〈Seocho-dong〉 , and 〈D.P. Season 2〉, takes on the perfectionist “Min-hui Kim” as she juggles work and home life without losing her composure. Then, Jeong Moon-sung, known for his solid acting chops in 〈The Scarecrow〉 and the series of 〈Hospital Playlist〉 , joins as “Assistant Manager Kim Young-gil,” a former engineer who brings careful analysis and persistence to the team. 〈Pay the deposit〉 , 〈D.P. Season 2〉 , and 〈Extraordinary Attorney Woo〉—among other works—see actor and YouTube creator Mun Sang-hoon build a standout character and mass appeal, and he teams up with Park Jeong-min as Yoo-hyun’s supervisor, “Assistant Manager Park Seung-woo,” a man who is more diligent than anyone, but whose results never quite follow. As “Chan-ho Lee,” an employee bursting with passion who goes wherever help is needed, Kim Min from the blockbuster film 〈The Man Who Lives with the King〉 , 〈Rebound〉 , and 〈Golddland〉 joins the lineup, bringing energy to the team.

The figures who will drive the fierce political infighting and conflicts inside a major conglomerate are also formidable. Lee Jeong-eun, a top-tier actor from films 〈Zombie Daughter〉 and 〈Parasite〉 and the drama 〈Our Blues〉 , adds weight to the drama as “Jo Chan-young,” a product planning team executive who holds powerful influence within the organization. Kim Seol-hyun makes a special appearance as “Aeri Lee,” the secretary to executive Jo Chan-young, in 〈I Don’t Want to Do Anything〉 , 〈Shopping List of a Murderer〉 , and 〈Day and Night〉 . Kim Dae-myeong, from 〈The Completion of Marriage〉 , 〈The Art of Negotiation〉 , and the 〈Hospital Playlist〉 series, plays “Kyeong-hoon Lee,” a sales-team manager who sharply clashes with Yoo-hyun. Lee Sang-yi, who appeared in 〈Becoming a Legendary Cookman〉 , the series 〈The Hounds〉 , and 〈Good Boy〉 , deepens audience immersion as “Se-joong Kwon,” Yoo-hyun’s hiring-mate who leaves indelible wounds and regrets behind. The director of the “Shin-gyeong-su” board—an “adviser” position that Han Yoo-hyun fears the most and tries to avoid—features special appearance by Lee Kwang-soo, who has shown daring acting transformations in 〈Golddland〉 , 〈City of Pieces〉 , and 〈No Way Out: The Roulette〉 .

Direction is by director Kim Hee-won, who earned recognition for his meticulous directing through 〈Lighting Store〉. With 〈Lighting Store〉, director Kim earned a nomination for Best Director in the TV category at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards, proving his capabilities as a director beyond acting. Expectations are high for what synergy he will produce when his direction, which captures characters’ emotions in fine detail, meets 〈Sang-namja〉, a drama that carries unmistakable genre fun. With filming still ahead, director Kim said, “I really prepared a lot. I’m working hard so that everyone here can do the work happily. I hope everyone finishes filming with smiles and in good spirits,” raising anticipation by sharing his special commitment toward the project. Production is handled by Studio N, which has produced IP video content with both artistic value and mainstream appeal, including 〈Severe Trauma Center〉 , 〈Retirement〉 , and 〈Vigilante〉 , adding to trust.
