Kanaboon, the key force behind the "Naruto" phenomenon, makes its first landing in Korea since forming
KANA-BOON, a leading Japanese rock band 'KANA-BOON', is finally taking the stage in Korea, electrifying global anime fandom and J-rock enthusiasts.
The event organizer 'Rebet' (LIVET) officially announced that 'KANA-BOON' will hold its first solo Korea concert 'Critical Hit Parade' (CRITICAL HIT PARADE) at 'Yes24 Live Hall' in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on Dec. 5.
Fronted by 'Taniguchi Maguro', who leads the band with vocals and guitar, 'KANA-BOON' is known for its tight musicianship and addictive melodies. In particular, their mega hit 'Silhouette', released in 2014, was selected as the original soundtrack (OST) for the globally popular anime 'Naruto Shippuden', becoming a pivotal moment that cemented the band’s name in the global music market.
Their musical trajectory doesn’t stop at a single hit. They’ve continued to deliver core sounds for major anime series one after another, including the theme song 'Starmarker' from 'My Hero Academia' and 'Torch of Liberty' from 'Fire Force', building a distinctive position that blurs the boundaries between subculture and mainstream pop music.
This Korea visit is expected to be a momentous stage that will finally relieve long-standing cravings among local fans who have only been able to experience 'KANA-BOON'’s energy from beyond the screen. Attention in the popular music scene is focused on the band’s overwhelming live performance, which will ring out in Seoul for the first time since its debut.
