‘Made in Korea Season 2’ Hyun Bin’s ruthless ambition erupts! ‘Baek Gi-tae’ character still revealed!

In Season 2, he sustains a dangerous double life for 9 years, taking on the role of acting head of the Korean Central Intelligence Agency and rising to No. 2 in the organization’s hierarchy.

〈Made in Korea Season 2〉, building buzz ahead of a bigger-than-Season-1 surge of desire and escalating showdowns, has unveiled character stills of Hyun Bin that capture his overwhelming charisma. 〈Made in Korea Season 2〉 is a noir drama depicting the precarious journey of ‘Baek Gi-tae’ as he goes on a rampage toward even greater ambition nine years later.

In Season 1, Hyun Bin brought three-dimensional depth to the unrestrained ambition and cold-blooded hustler instincts of ‘Baek Gi-tae,’ a Korean Central Intelligence Agency deputy director who turns the nation into a revenue model to chase wealth and power. By doing so, he cemented a commanding presence and proved once again that he is the kind of actor you can trust, winning the male Best Acting award at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards and the male actor award at the Directors Cut Awards. In Season 2, he will deliver even deeper performances as ‘Baek Gi-tae,’ who has sustained a dangerous double life for 9 years, serving as acting head of the Korean Central Intelligence Agency and rising to No. 2 within the organization. Amid a restructured power order in which a precarious tightrope walk continues as he seeks even greater power, Hyun Bin is expected to portray, with greater density, ‘Baek Gi-tae’s’ unstoppable momentum and ever-growing desire.

The released character still shows ‘Baek Gi-tae,’ who has moved into the heart of power, projecting a changed stature and charisma so intense it feels suffocating, grabbing attention at once. In the image, ‘Baek Gi-tae’ leans back comfortably on a deep dark sofa while staring straight ahead, revealing the intimidating atmosphere of a man who holds everything in his hands and unwavering confidence. Next, as he sharpens his gaze at his counterpart and continues an airtight game of strategic moves, seasoned know-how comes through, adding tension. Meanwhile, ‘Baek Gi-tae’s’ expression—watching a burning piece of paper with a meaningful gaze—shows his ruthlessness, the kind of ruthlessness that lets him boldly hide and erase many things for his target. It also raises curiosity about what kind of ripple effects his ambition will bring, the closer he gets to the top.

Disney+’s original series 〈Made in Korea Season 2〉, which revealed Hyun Bin’s ‘Baek Gi-tae’ character still capturing his matured performance and one-of-a-kind charisma, will release, exclusively on Disney+, 2 episodes on Wednesday, September 9, 2026; 2 episodes on Wednesday, September 16, 2026; and 2 episodes on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, for a total of 6 episodes.
