A Distinct Aura Blossoms in the Garden of Paris, Signaling a Solo Breakout

‘NewJeans’ member ‘Haerin’ was selected as the cover model for fashion magazine ‘Marie Claire’ in its September issue, opening the first chapter of her solo activity following the management-control dispute at her agency, ‘ADOR’.

On the 14th, Marie Claire unveiled the September issue photo spread featuring Haerin through its official social media accounts. The magazine said, “We captured Haerin’s clear, lively moments like the start of a new season,” adding, “In a space reminiscent of a single flower that has just begun to bloom in an old garden in Paris, we exclusively captured Haerin’s face where cuteness and confidence coexist, along with elegance and freedom.”

Haerin decorating a magazine cover on her own marks the first time in about 1 year and 7 months since ‘Elle Japan’ in February of last year. In particular, industry watchers and fans’ attention is focused on this photo spread as it represents the first official solo output she has shown since dealing with recent internal turmoil within her agency.

This photo-spread project was carried out as part of the agency artists’ management activities. The ADOR side explained, “After receiving a proposal for the photo shoot, we held in-depth discussions with Haerin and decided to proceed.”

However, this fashion-industry move does not immediately lead to the resumption of ‘music activities.’ The agency said, “We will provide official notice as soon as specific album releases and music-activity plans are confirmed,” urging against hasty interpretations that run ahead of the facts.
