From the Korean Peninsula to East Asia: A New Season Broadens History's Horizons

tvN Story's flagship history variety show 'Naked Korean History' is returning for its third season. The premiere is set for the 8th of next month. Since debuting in April 2022, the educational program has earned viewers' enduring trust through meticulous historical research and engaging storytelling.

The most notable change this season is the dramatic expansion of the 'historical stage' the show explores. Moving beyond its traditional focus on the Korean Peninsula, it will delve deeply into the tangled, lesser-known stories of the 'three East Asian countries'—South Korea, China and Japan. By examining the hidden sides of a history shaped by intersecting geopolitical crises and exchanges, the show is expected to offer sharp insights into issues that continue to resonate in modern society.

Korean history instructor 'Choi Tae-sung', the program's steadfast anchor, will once again lead weighty, compelling lectures. Broadcasters 'Kim Dong-hyun' and 'Kwon Hyuk-soo', whose distinctive wit brings energy to the show, will also remain in their regular roles. The most anticipated addition is singer 'Jeon Yu-jin'. Her participation, representing the perspective of younger generations, is expected to give viewers multiple ways of looking at historical events and bring a fresh dynamic to the program.
