MMA 2026 sets first-ever two-day event; Rescene, ILLIT and Hearts2Hearts to perform at Gocheok Dome

Massive popular-music festival evolves to unprecedented scale, sets sights on global fandom

The spotlight of the popular-music industry will once again turn to Seoul this year. Melon, the event organizer, announced the second lineup of performers on the 21st for “MMA 2026” (Melon Music Awards), which will be held over two days, Nov. 14-15, at “Gocheok Sky Dome” in Seoul.

The most anticipated addition to the lineup is the girl group “Rescene”, which has emerged as a new icon of chart resurgences. Joining them onstage will be “Choi Yena,” known for her singular performances; “ILLIT,” which has established itself as a global rookie act; and “Hearts2Hearts.” Their appearances are expected to further raise the energy of the awards ceremony.

This year’s “MMA 2026” is especially significant because it will be held over two days for the first time since the event was launched. Under the central theme of “connection,” the festival will bring music fans from around the world together through K-pop, transcending physical and linguistic barriers in a massive celebration.

The first lineup, announced earlier, had already signaled the event’s formidable ticket-selling power. Led by virtual idol pioneers “PLAVE,” the lineup features a host of leading K-pop acts, including “RIIZE,” “NCT WISH,” and “AlphaDriveOne,” raising expectations for what could be the most polished stage production in the awards’ history.
