Actor Lee Wan and Pro Golfer Lee Bo-mi Welcome First Child After Five-Year Wait: Expecting a Daughter in February

A new chapter for the actor and the “Smile Candy” golfer

Actor Lee Wan (birth name Kim Hyung-soo, 42) and his wife, professional golfer Lee Bo-mi (38), are expecting their first child, five years after getting married.

Lee Wan’s agency, Story J Company, said in an official statement on the 28th, “Lee Bo-mi is currently pregnant and is expected to give birth next February.” The baby is a girl.

The couple, both devout Catholics, first met through an introduction by a priest at their church. They married in December 2019 amid many well-wishers’ blessings, becoming one of the best-known couples in sports and entertainment.

Lee Wan, who made his debut in the 2004 SBS drama Stairway to Heaven, is widely known as the younger brother of actress Kim Tae-hee. Lee Bo-mi swept the multiple wins and money titles on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour in 2010 before moving to Japan, where she went on to claim the money title on the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association (JLPGA) Tour for two consecutive years and establish herself among the sport’s top players. The news of their first child is a double celebration following Lee Bo-mi’s retirement from professional golf last year, drawing an outpouring of congratulations from the public and fans.
