BoA Cancels 25th Anniversary Concert Due to Acute Osteonecrosis Diagnosis

Singer BoA (37) announced on the 15th that she will cancel her solo concert scheduled for next month to celebrate her 25th anniversary due to health reasons.

Her agency, SM Entertainment, stated in an official position that "BoA was diagnosed with acute osteonecrosis after visiting the hospital due to worsening knee pain" and "decided to undergo surgery based on the medical team's opinion."

As a result, the commemorative concert scheduled to be held on August 30 and 31 at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul has been inevitably canceled. BoA, who is celebrating her 25th anniversary this year, had been preparing for this concert as a special meeting with her fans.

SM Entertainment conveyed, "We will do our best to ensure that BoA can focus on her treatment and recovery, prioritizing the health and safety of the artist."

The agency added that they plan to decide on the concert's rescheduling after monitoring BoA's recovery progress post-surgery. Meanwhile, separate from the concert cancellation, BoA's new album, scheduled for release in the third quarter, will be released as planned.
