Netflix 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' Wins Grand Prize at the Blue Dragon Series Awards!

Set against the backdrop of the four seasons of Jeju Island, the Netflix series 〈When Life Gives You Tangerines〉 has won the grand prize at the Blue Dragon Series Awards.

At the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards held on the 18th at Paradise City in Incheon, 〈When Life Gives You Tangerines〉 took home a total of four awards, including the grand prize, Best Actress (IU), Best Supporting Actress (Yeom Hye-ran), and Popular Star Award (Park Bo-gum and IU).

This 16-episode series, which depicts the love and family narrative of the spirited girl Ae-soon and the romantic man Kwan-sik, unfolds a warm story against the beautiful nature of Jeju Island, receiving praise from viewers. Park Sang-hyun, the CEO of the production company Fan Entertainment, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I hope this drama remains a small joy and inspiration for you all."

IU, who won Best Actress, expressed her feelings in a trembling voice, saying, "I would like to pay my respect and gratitude to all the Aesoon who have lived their own worlds more vividly than anyone else in a world that forced them to live vaguely, and to all the Geummyung who have planted and nurtured their ambitions with determination everywhere in the world." Actors Park Bo-gum, Choi Dae-hoon, Lee Joon-young, and others also expressed their thanks.

In the drama category, Netflix 〈Trauma Center〉 won the Best Drama Award. Lead actor Ju Ji-hoon won Best Actor, while supporting actor Choo Young-woo won Best New Actor. The Best Supporting Actor award went to Lee Kwang-soo from Netflix 〈Bad Relationship〉, and the Best New Actress award was given to Kim Min-ha from 〈A Week Before I Die〉.

In the entertainment category, 〈Black and White Chef: Cooking Class War〉 won the Best Entertainment Program Award. The Male Entertainer Award went to webtoon artist-turned-broadcaster Kian84, and the Female Entertainer Award was won by Lee Soo-ji from 〈SNL Korea〉.

In the newcomer category, Moon Sang-hoon (Joo Gwan Restaurant) won the Best New Male Entertainer Award, and Mimi (Kian Is Awesome) won the Best New Female Entertainer Award. The Popular Star Award was awarded to Park Bo-gum, IU, as well as Lee Hye-ri (〈Good Competition〉) and Lee Joon-hyuk (〈Good or Bad Dong-jae〉).
