The EBS International Documentary Film Festival (EIDF), which has written the history of documentary films in the country, is set to meet audiences next month.

The slogan for this film festival is 'Capture the New Wave', and it will showcase 62 documentary films from 35 countries that reflect the new trends of the era. Notably, this year, a new section called 'Creative Documentary' will be introduced, featuring documentary films that incorporate new attempts such as artificial intelligence (AI), animation, and drama techniques.
In the competition section, a total of four works will be selected, including the Grand Prize (1 million KRW) and the Jury's Special Award (700,000 KRW). In the cultural and artistic documentary section, excellent works (500,000 KRW) and special award (300,000 KRW) winners will also be selected.
Kim Kwang-ho, the Executive Director of EIDF, stated, "We have structured the program with experimental and multi-layered works that reflect on how documentaries can read the flow of the times and how they can view society from different perspectives."
