Brad Pitt Mourns the Passing of His Mother Jane at Age 84

Actor Brad Pitt's mother, Jane, has passed away at the age of 84.

The news of the Oscar-winning actor's mother's death has been confirmed. A spokesperson for Pitt declined to comment further.

Pitt (61) and his younger brother Doug, and sister Julie grew up in Springfield, Missouri, under the care of their mother Jane, a retired school counselor, and their father William, a former truck company operator.

Pitt's niece Sydney (Doug's daughter) posted a tribute to her grandmother on Instagram on the 6th. She wrote, 'Grandma had the biggest heart and loved everyone and everything deeply without asking questions.'

'Dear Grandma, we are not ready for you to leave us yet, but knowing that you can now sing, dance, and paint freely gives us some comfort.'

Sydney mourned, saying, 'Grandma took care of all 14 grandchildren without missing a single one. There was no limit to Grandma's love, and everyone who met her felt that love. I don't know how to move forward without her.'
