BLACKPINK, China Pop-up Store Continues to Thrive...Pink Lights Up in Shanghai

YG Entertainment announced on the 21st that the pop-up store held by the girl group BLACKPINK in five major shopping malls in China is gaining high popularity daily.

Starting from Shanghai on the 2nd, BLACKPINK has opened pop-up stores in five cities including Shenzhen, Wuhan, Chengdu, and Beijing, receiving a warm response from local fans. In particular, the Shanghai pop-up store implemented a reservation system for 1,500 people per day to prevent overcrowding, yet the number of people waiting on-site created a massive crowd.

YG Entertainment stated, "Even during weekdays, fans of various ages, including students, are visiting the pop-up store." The pop-up stores in Wuhan and Chengdu, which operated without reservations, saw lines extending outside the venue, demonstrating explosive popularity.

The pop-up store features a variety of merchandise including BLACKPINK light sticks, character keychains, portable fans, hats, t-shirts, and albums, with some items selling out early, leading to additional orders and pre-sales. Additionally, there are various attractions such as photo zones and spaces to leave messages for the members. Each city’s pop-up store is scheduled to operate until the 31st of this month.

On the 8th, the anniversary of BLACKPINK's debut, the LED billboard on the rooftop Ferris wheel of Joy City, a landmark in Shanghai, lit up in pink with the BLACKPINK logo, capturing the attention of fans.

YG Entertainment stated, "We are expanding the activities of our artists, including BLACKPINK and TREASURE, in China and strengthening communication with local fans," adding, "At the end of this month, we plan to open a Baby Monster pop-up store and showcase various events."
