(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Ryu Hyo-rim = The group Stray Kids poses at a press conference celebrating the release of their 4th studio album 'KARMA' held at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul on the 22nd.

The group Stray Kids has set a new milestone in K-pop history by achieving 7 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the 'Billboard 200' with their new album 'KARMA'.

According to the chart announcement made by Billboard on the 31st of last month (local time), Stray Kids' 4th studio album 'KARMA' topped the 'Billboard 200', surpassing the OST album of the Netflix animated film 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉. This marks a continuous record achieved by the group with 7 albums, starting from 'ODDINARY' in 2022, followed by 'MAXIDENT', 'ATE', and 'HOP'.

Notably, it is unprecedented in Billboard history that all 7 albums from Stray Kids, starting from their first entry into the 'Billboard 200', have reached No. 1. They have established themselves as the K-pop group with the most No. 1 albums, surpassing BTS, who recorded 6 times at the top of the 'Billboard 200'.

On the 1st, Stray Kids expressed through their agency JYP Entertainment, "It's hard to believe and surreal that we achieved 7 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on 'Billboard 200'... We are so honored and amazed," and added, "We sincerely thank STAY (the fandom) and everyone who loves our music."

The group stated, "We will continue to repay you with good music and amazing performances" regarding their future plans.
