Late Summer Emotion Master Naoko Ogigami Director's Exhibition

From 9/17 (Wed) to 9/30 (Tue), the Naoko Ogigami Director's Exhibition will be held at CGV Art House. Ahead of the release of the new work 〈Circle〉, this special screening will revisit the director's representative works, including 4 major films: 〈Kamome Diner〉〈Glasses〉〈Mukōrita by the River〉〈Ripples〉. Additionally, there will be special screenings and GV where audiences can see 〈Circle〉 before its release date, raising expectations among many viewers.

Under the Nordic sensibility, 〈Kamome Diner〉 has become a life-changing film for many, providing fun and emotion with its neat food and unique stories of customers. 〈Glasses〉 is an essential work when discussing healing cinema, depicting the story of Taeko who has left for a small seaside town. 〈Mukōrita by the River〉 captures the diverse stories of residents living in a Mukōrita apartment complex, showcasing works that can hold onto the lingering feelings of late summer. The film 〈Ripples〉, which garnered attention for Naoko Ogigami's attempt at black comedy, will also be screened, providing a great opportunity for audiences who missed it during its release in January.

Lastly, 〈Circle〉 tells the story of Sawada, who, having failed to establish himself as an artist and lost his job, gains worldwide fame from a circle he accidentally drew. After 27 years since 〈Boy Detective Kim Jeon-il – Shanghai Mermaid Legend〉, Tsuyoshi Domoto of 'Kinki Kids' has been cast as the lead in a solo film, raising expectations as he plays the unknown artist Sawada, alongside a stellar cast including Aya Ueto, Riho Yoshioka, Win Morisaki, Satomi Kobayashi, and Akira Emoto, increasing the desire for reservations.
