CJ ENM has decided to directly supply drama content to local ad-supported free online video service (OTT) platforms to target the Indian market.

CJ ENM announced on the 4th that it has signed a content supply contract with Amazon MX Player, a leading ad-supported free OTT service in India acquired by Amazon last year. Accordingly, a total of 18 dramas, including 'Jumping with Seonjae' and 'It's Useless to Lie', will be released sequentially starting from the 8th.

The content will be dubbed in major regional languages such as Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, tailored for various viewer demographics in India. Amazon MX Player adopts an AVOD (Advertising Video On Demand) model, allowing users to enjoy free content by watching ads, and is rapidly growing in India.

Kim Do-hyun, head of CJ ENM's Global Distribution Division, stated, "This expansion of content distribution is a valuable opportunity to reach new viewers," and expressed hope to communicate more deeply with Indian viewers.
