Paris Jackson (27), daughter of the late "King of Pop" Michael Jackson, has made strong criticisms regarding her father's biopic set to be released next year. Hollywood media outlets Variety and Deadline reported on the 4th (local time) that Paris expressed her discomfort through an Instagram story, denying media reports that she was involved in or supported the production of the film "Michael."
Recently, actor Colman Domingo stated in an interview with People that Paris is "very supportive of our film," but Paris directly refuted this. She stated, "Do not tell people that I 'helped' in a film I was not involved in at all." She also mentioned that she read a draft of the script and provided feedback on dishonest parts, but since her comments were not reflected, she has not been involved in related matters since then.

In an additional video, Paris stated, "They will make the film as they wish," and added, "I have remained silent until now because I believe many will like this film, but it contains a lot of content that caters to the fantasies of a specific group within our father's fandom." She continued, "In the fantasy world of Hollywood, facts are packaged as if they are true, while embellishments and controls occur alongside numerous inaccuracies and blatant lies."
She clarified that her criticism does not stem from hating her father, but rather from not liking dishonesty, stating, "I raised my voice because I do not like dishonesty, but it was not accepted, so I stepped back."
Meanwhile, the film "Michael" is directed by Antoine Fuqua, with the script written by John Logan, and the role of Michael Jackson is played by his real-life nephew, singer Jaafar Jackson. Lionsgate is handling the distribution, and it is set to be released in North America in April next year.
