NCT Haechan Releases First Solo Studio Album 'Taste'

Haechan, a member of the group NCT, presents his first solo studio album that captures his unique personality and musical taste.

On the 8th, Haechan stated through his agency SM Entertainment that his solo studio album 'Taste' would be released at 6 PM that day, saying, "From the musical genre to the sound, performance, and atmosphere, I filled it with my taste," and added, "I think it’s an album that truly represents me."

This album carries the meaning of Haechan sharing his musical preferences. It includes 11 tracks from various genres, centered around R&B, which is Haechan's most preferred genre, along with soul, hip-hop, and jazz.

The title track 'Crazy' (CRZY) is a song that combines intense hip-hop rhythms reminiscent of the early 2000s with guitar playing and rhythmic vocals. The lyrics express the emotions of the moment when one is tempted by a captivating encounter.

Haechan explained, "I have shown various sides through group activities, but in this solo album, I focused on performances that fill the stage alone to capture my own charm," and added, "I paid a lot of attention to convey my music and sincerity."

Regarding the title track, he said, "I thought it was a song that could best showcase my strengths," and expressed confidence that it would be a good start for his solo debut track.

After the release of his solo album, Haechan announced various stage activities, including appearances on music shows. He stated, "The goal of this album was to create music that fans can listen to for a long time," and expressed his hope that it would be an album that they would continue to revisit over time."
