Rainbow Transportation Returns with 'Taxi Driver 3' Script Reading Event

SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Taxi Driver 3' is returning once again in full force. The script reading event featuring the 'Rainbow Five' members Lee Je-hoon, Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin, and Bae Yoo-ram has been revealed, raising expectations to new heights. Set to premiere on November 21 (Friday), SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Taxi Driver 3' is a series based on the webtoon of the same name, featuring the hidden taxi company Rainbow Transportation and taxi driver Kim Do-gi, who takes revenge on behalf of wronged victims in a private revenge agency drama. The 'Taxi Driver' series has recorded the 5th highest viewership rating (21%) among all domestic terrestrial and cable dramas aired since 2023, and last year, it won the Best Drama Series award at the 28th Asian Television Awards (ATA), Asia's most prestigious media awards, solidifying its status as a mega-hit IP and a successful example of Korean seasonal dramas.

In this context, the script reading event for 'Taxi Driver 3' has garnered significant attention. Present at the event were writer Oh Sang-ho, who established the solid universe of the 'Taxi Driver' series, and director Kang Bo-seung, who was the assistant director for 'Taxi Driver' Season 1 and co-directed 'Romantic Doctor Kim Sa-bu 3', along with the main cast members of the 'Rainbow Five' including Lee Je-hoon (as Kim Do-gi), Kim Eui-sung (as Jang representative), Pyo Ye-jin (as Go-eun), Jang Hyuk-jin (as Choi supervisor), and Bae Yoo-ram (as Park supervisor), who all energetically kicked off Season 3.

As it was the first script reading in two years, the atmosphere was filled with intense excitement. In particular, from the very beginning of the script reading, the chemistry between Lee Je-hoon, Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin, and Bae Yoo-ram, who created perfect banter with just a line of dialogue or a glance, announced the welcome return of the 'Rainbow Five'. Moreover, the teamwork of the 'Rainbow Five', which has been perfected over the seasons, maximized the variety of fun, and the anticipation for their evolved character play captured the attention of everyone present. Additionally, the script reading was conducted in a special format where the actors placed their lines over the storyboard drawn by director Kang Bo-seung, providing a strong sense of immersion.

The new Friday-Saturday drama 'Taxi Driver 3', selected as a production support project by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Communications Agency (KCA) in 2025, is set to premiere on November 21 (Friday). Additionally, 'Taxi Driver 3' will be available on Viu, the largest regional OTT platform in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
