Seo In-young Clarifies 'Conflict Rumors' with Gain After 9 Years... "Reflecting on My Unsenior-like Attitude"

Singer Seo In-young has opened up about the conflict rumors with Brown Eyed Girls' Gain for the first time in 9 years. Recently, while communicating with fans through a live SNS broadcast, Seo In-young addressed the questions pouring in about her relationship with Gain.

Seo In-young said, "I am close with Gain," and reflected, "I think I was too hasty and not senior-like back then, and I also had parts that were hurtful to me." She continued, "We resolved things well, and I am close with Gain. Let's not create any more issues," dismissing the conflict rumors.

The rumors of conflict between the two date back to the 2016 MBC 'Radio Star' broadcast. At that time, Gain shared an episode where she mentioned, "In the early days of my debut, In-young unnie seemed to think Narsha unnie was cute. So In-young unnie said something like, 'This kid is so cute.'"

Seo In-young explained, "(Narsha) greeted too modestly and looked too cute, so I thought she was a younger sister," but Gain revealed, "I was initially upset because In-young unnie, who is younger than Narsha unnie, said, 'This kid is so cute' about Narsha, since she is the team unnie," making the atmosphere awkward.

In response, Seo In-young shot back, "You were upset? What did you do about it?" leading to a controversy over her attitude. Right after the broadcast, Seo In-young expressed her discomfort on SNS, stating, "Saying you were upset while sitting right next to someone seemed a bit inappropriate."

The controversy at that time faded without much clarification, but now, 9 years later, Seo In-young has shown a reflective attitude, saying, "I was not senior-like." She has hinted at discussing the details on YouTube, raising expectations for the restoration of their relationship.
