Singer G-DRAGON appeared on MBC's current affairs program 'Questions from Son Seok-hee 3' and indirectly expressed his stance on the turmoil surrounding the former members of the group BIGBANG.
During the broadcast on the 5th, Son Seok-hee asked G-DRAGON, "Hasn't BIGBANG also gone through members' turmoil?" and "As a leader, when was it the hardest for you?"
"Members' Mistakes Are Separate... I Was Most Distressed When I Caused Harm"
In response, G-DRAGON stated, "In fact, whether it's the members' mistakes or personal lives, that's a separate issue." He continued, "The hardest moment for me as a leader was when I caused harm to the team or made a mistake." He candidly shared that whether it was his own fault or not, "When such situations arise, the entire team can suffer, so it was the most distressing for me."
Previously, former BIGBANG member Seungri was involved in the 'Burning Sun Gate', and T.O.P left the team after the marijuana smoking controversy.

"Thought About Retirement During Drug Allegations"
G-DRAGON also revealed his feelings during the drug use allegations he faced in October 2023. He confessed, "Since I was taking a break from activities, things escalated uncontrollably." He added, "I felt empty and disheartened, and I even thought, 'If I take a break, I could just retire and be an ordinary person.'"
Having gone through such a painful experience, G-DRAGON stated that during this time, "I wrote 'POWER' based on that experience," revealing it became a driving force for his music work. G-DRAGON was under police investigation at the time but was cleared of charges with a decision of 'no charges filed'.
