CJ CheilJedang's 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty' Popup Restaurant Closes Successfully with a Competition Rate of 1,200 to 1

CJ CheilJedang's special popup restaurant, in collaboration with the tvN drama 〈Bon Appétit, Your Majesty〉, through the Korean chef training project 'Cuisine.K', has successfully concluded with an unprecedented competition rate.

Running from the 2nd to the 4th, titled 'The King's Table, A Meal by Yeon Ji-young', this popup went beyond a simple dining event to showcase the synergy of K-Food and K-Content. This project, presented in partnership with CJ ENM Studio Dragon, the production company of the drama 〈Bon Appétit, Your Majesty〉, has been praised for demonstrating both the excellence of Korean food culture and the impact of the content industry.

During the two days of application registration starting from the 28th of last month, it recorded a competition rate of over 1,200 to 1. Despite the short application period, the reservation process conducted through the 'Catch Table' app received an explosive response.

The success of this popup lies in its ability to fully realize the world of the drama beyond just a food experience. By utilizing costumes and props used in the actual drama, it provided visitors with an immersive experience.

The menu presented by the young chefs of Cuisine.K at this popup restaurant consisted of seven courses, starting with haute cuisine beef tartare and beef schnitzel, followed by pea potage, miso pasta, ginseng-fed black-boned chicken samgyetang, mountain grape beef bourguignon, top-class French bibimbap with miso soup, and black sesame macarons.

This collaboration is regarded as a case demonstrating the added value that can be created by the convergence of the food industry and the content industry.
