SBS's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Kiss is Unnecessary!' has captured viewers' attention with its shocking kiss scene during its premiere on the 12th. This work holds great significance as it is the first drama to completely resume the Wednesday-Thursday slot after the conclusion of 'Secret Boutique' about six years ago.
Dopamine Rush from the First Episode
'Kiss is Unnecessary!' depicts the desperate romance between Go Da-rim (Ahn Eun-jin), a single woman who disguises herself as a mother for employment, and Team Leader Gong Ji-hyuk (Jang Ki-yong), who falls in love with her.
The first episode, which aired on the 12th, recorded 4.9% viewership in the metropolitan area and 4.5% nationwide, marking a strong start. The peak viewership reached 6.3%, securing the top spot among all weekday dramas across channels.

"Shall We Do It Again?" Shocking Ending
In the first episode, as Gong Ji-hyuk (Jang Ki-yong) and Go Da-rim (Ahn Eun-jin) are on the verge of their 'fake relationship' being exposed, Go Da-rim unexpectedly kisses Gong Ji-hyuk. This 'catastrophic kiss' leads Gong Ji-hyuk to respond with a powerful kiss, saying "Shall we do it again?", which has been said to awaken viewers' romantic instincts.
Director Kim Jae-hyun described this work as a "romantic comedy close to a disaster film". Writers Ha Yoon-ah and Tae Kyung-min present a fresh story, and the thrilling chemistry between Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin is expected to captivate viewers.
The first episode featured Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu making a comedic cameo as 'a couple in love', adding to the laughter, and 'Kiss is Unnecessary!' airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9 PM.
