The film 'Wuthering Heights', starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, has been confirmed for release in the United States on February 13, 2026. Warner Bros. officially announced that it will be released in theaters in the UK on February 11 and in the US on February 13, targeting the Valentine's Day weekend.
This work, directed and written by Emerald Fennell, is based on Emily Brontë's 1847 Gothic novel 'Wuthering Heights'. Fennell, who gained fame with 'Promising Young Woman' and 'Saltburn', is expected to present a unique interpretation in this film as well.
Margot Robbie plays the role of Catherine Earnshaw, while Jacob Elordi takes on the role of Heathcliff, portraying a passionate love story. Robbie is also involved in production through her company LuckyChap Entertainment, and is credited as a producer alongside George MacKay.
It is reported that Warner Bros. secured distribution rights for $75 million after fierce competition with Netflix and Amazon. This film, co-produced by MRC and LuckyChap, reflects the creative team's desire for a theatrical release and marketing investment.
The released trailer features the sensual and intense chemistry between Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, with a new song specially composed by Charli XCX used as background music. Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Allison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Yuan Mitchell appear in supporting roles.
This project marks the third collaboration between director Fennell, MRC, and LuckyChap, and is emerging as the most anticipated film of the Valentine's Day season in 2026.
