A groundbreaking change is anticipated in the domestic online video service (OTT) market. Disney Korea and Tving have launched an integrated subscription product that combines Disney+, Tving, and Wave on the 18th, marking the beginning of a significant market restructuring.
The newly unveiled integrated bundle plan from the three companies is priced at 21,500 won per month. It is analyzed to have secured a price competitiveness of up to 37% compared to subscribing to each platform individually. Additionally, a two-product option combining only Disney+ and Tving is also available at 18,000 won per month, providing a 23% discount effect.
Through this, subscribers can watch domestic dramas, entertainment, news content from Tving and Wave, as well as sports broadcasts including the KBO League. Furthermore, they can broadly access Disney+, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Hulu, and other global premium content from Disney+.
Kim So-yeon, the representative of Disney Korea, stated, "On the occasion of the 4th anniversary of our domestic service, we are excited to present an innovative bundle product through our strategic partnership with Tving," and added, "This partnership will serve as a turning point that sets a new standard in the Korean streaming market."
Choi Joo-hee, the representative of Tving, emphasized, "It is significant to provide a variety of content at a more reasonable price to domestic users," and stated, "We will continue to innovate to enhance user satisfaction based on our strong content competitiveness."
