Actress Kim Jae-kyung, a former member of the group Rainbow, is stepping onto the stage of Japanese dramas for the first time. Her agency, Namoo Actors, announced on the 1st that the Japanese TBS Friday drama 〈Dream Stage〉 (DREAM STAGE) featuring Kim Jae-kyung will be released next month.

〈Dream Stage〉 is a Korea-Japan co-production drama created by Korea's CJ ENM and Japan's TBS, realistically depicting the fierce competition hidden behind the glamorous stage of the K-Pop industry and the strong bonds among artists.

In the drama, Kim Jae-kyung plays the role of producer Park Ji-soo, who discovers the competing group 'TORINNER' through auditions against the K-Pop group 'NAZE'.

This work is expected to open a new chapter in Korea-Japan co-production dramas, featuring many Korean actors including Kim Jae-kyung, Ha Yeon-soo, and Lee Yi-kyung.
