Quentin Tarantino, "The Best Movie of the 21st Century is 'Black Hawk Down', Second is 'Toy Story 3'"

Master Quentin Tarantino has selected Ridley Scott's 〈Black Hawk Down〉 as the best movie of the 21st century.

On December 2nd (local time), Quentin Tarantino appeared on 'The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast' and selected the top 10 films released since 2000.

Tarantino named Ridley Scott's film 〈Black Hawk Down〉 (2001) as his number one. Tarantino stated, "When I first saw 〈Black Hawk Down〉, I liked it, but it was so intense that it didn't leave the lingering effect it should have. I've seen it a few more times since, and I think this movie is a masterpiece. The achievement in direction is beyond extraordinary."

Tarantino chose 〈Toy Story 3〉 (2010) as his second choice, adding that it is "an almost perfect movie." He shared, "The last 5 minutes ripped my heart apart, and if I even try to explain the ending, I will start crying and choke up," revealing the impact that 〈Toy Story 3〉 had on him.

The 'Top 10 of the 21st Century' list revealed by Tarantino included not only 〈Black Hawk Down〉 and 〈Toy Story 3〉, but also masterpieces from various genres. David Fincher's 〈The Social Network〉 (2010) and 〈Zodiac〉 (2007), Christopher Nolan's 〈Dunkirk〉 (2017), and George Miller's 〈Mad Max: Fury Road〉 (2015) were also included in Tarantino's list.
