Arnold Schwarzenegger's surprise appearance in 〈The Running Man〉 has been revealed.
〈The Running Man〉 depicts the story of Ben Richards (Glenn Powell), who participates in a survival TV show with a huge cash prize, struggling to survive for 30 days. The novel was previously adapted into a film in 1987 starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. However, the content was entirely different except for the basic premise of the novel, leading Stephen King to criticize the film.
Nevertheless, it seems that there were no hard feelings between Stephen King and Arnold Schwarzenegger regarding the film. In the upcoming 2025 release of 〈The Running Man〉, Arnold Schwarzenegger is depicted as the 'President of the United States' on the currency. Stephen King expressed gratitude, stating, "As you know, he actually served as the Governor of California, but in the world we created, he is set as a character who rose to the presidency. I want to give credit to Arnold Schwarzenegger for willingly allowing the use of his image."
〈The Running Man〉 will be released in South Korea on December 10.
