CEO Bob Iger said, "I want to be part of what Sam (OpenAI CEO Altman) and his team are creating," adding, "We believe this is a good investment for the company."

Disney has granted usage rights for over 200 characters, including Mickey Mouse, along with an investment of 1.5 trillion won in OpenAI.

The two companies announced on the 11th that they have signed a 3-year licensing agreement, allowing for the production of AI content using Sora and ChatGPT with Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars characters starting early next year. This is the largest investment in AI companies by a Hollywood studio.

CEO Bob Iger explained the strategy by saying, "If change is inevitable, we must ride the wave."
