"This is the first time I've had such a fun kiss scene. You can expect a very spicy 'Mala Flavor' melodrama filled with the passion of those in their 30s and 40s."
The self-proclaimed 'Romantic Comedy Queen' and 'Melodrama Master' actress Seo Hyun-jin has returned to the small screen with JTBC's new Friday drama 'Love Me'. She threw a shocking spoiler, determined to reach the pinnacle of her romantic acting in this work.
At the production presentation held on the 18th at The Link Seoul Hotel in Guro-gu, Seo Hyun-jin expressed her excitement about her chemistry with co-star Jang Ryul, saying, "Jang Ryul was very enthusiastic about the melodrama scenes. We had passionate scenes that were completely different from the director's reference materials," raising expectations.

◆ The Humility of the 'Melodrama Master'... "Love for Family and Oneself is Also Love"
'Love Me' is based on the popular Swedish series of the same name. It is a healing melodrama that depicts the journey of a lonely obstetrician-gynecologist Seo Jun-kyung (played by Seo Hyun-jin) and her family as they seek their own loves. Seo Hyun-jin, who has built a melodrama invincibility myth through works like 'Another Oh Hae-young' and 'Temperature of Love', humbly stated, "I have never thought that I was good at melodrama. That title is burdensome." She emphasized the drama's message, saying, "Love is not only between men and women. Love between family members and communication with oneself is also love," highlighting the broad thematic consciousness of the work.
◆ The Couple from 'Stranger' Reunited
This work deals with love in the 20s, 30s, and middle age in a multi-dimensional way. In particular, the reunion of Yoo Jae-myung and Yoon Se-ah, who had intense chemistry as a couple in the drama 'Stranger', is a hot topic. Yoon Se-ah expressed her feelings, saying, "I was glad to meet my husband, whom I missed dearly, in a good work," while Yoo Jae-myung stated, "I want to interpret the title with a comma as 'Love, Me'. It is a story about loving myself and being loved," hinting at a heavy romance for middle-aged viewers. The direction is handled by PD Jo Young-min, who has been recognized for his delicate emotional direction in 'Understanding of Love' and 'Do You Like Brahms?', adding to the trust in the production.
'Love Me', which premiered on the 19th, will air every Friday at 8:50 PM, with two episodes back-to-back, promising to color viewers' weekends in pink.
