Global OTT service Netflix is transforming into a new platform for Korean professional wrestling fans. Netflix announced that starting January 1, 2026, it will exclusively stream all weekly programs and premium live events from WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), the world's largest professional wrestling organization, only on Netflix.
This partnership is part of Netflix's strategy to expand its entertainment experience beyond its existing focus on movies, series, and variety shows into the live content sector. WWE has produced numerous legendary superstars such as Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, The Rock, and John Cena, maintaining a solid fan base across all generations in Korea as the largest sports entertainment show.
The WWE lineup provided by Netflix includes core weekly programs such as 'Raw', 'SmackDown', and 'NXT'. In particular, fans will be able to enjoy all premium live events (PLE) including 'WrestleMania', known as the world's greatest wrestling festival, 'Royal Rumble', 'SummerSlam', and 'Money in the Bank' in real-time without additional payment.
Services for viewer convenience will also be enhanced. Netflix will provide a replay feature for fans who miss live matches, as well as sequentially introduce exclusive content that can only be seen on Netflix by utilizing WWE's vast archive.
Kang Dong-han, VP of Netflix's Korean content division, stated, "With its powerful storytelling and the unique charm of live events, WWE will elevate the enjoyment of Netflix entertainment to a new level," and added, "We will continue to strengthen our global live lineup to provide diverse viewing experiences for our domestic members."
