The production team of 〈Singer Again〉 that sparked a craze for unknown singers in South Korea is now embarking on a new project to cultivate the self-sufficiency of those who have become 'famous singers'.

SLL label Studio Slam announced that it is producing a reality music show featuring the TOP6 of 〈Singer Again 4〉, titled 〈Famous Singers Need Hit Songs〉 (planned by Yoon Hyun-jun, directed by Hyun Ji-in), which will be presented to audiences worldwide through Netflix.

Life After Audition... Creating Artists' 'Real Hit Songs'

This program is an official spin-off of 〈Singer Again 4〉, presented by Studio Slam, which has proven its unique planning ability through shows like 〈Black and White Chef: Cooking Class War〉 and 〈Sugar Man〉. The verified TOP6, including winner Lee Oh-wook, Gwen Dorado, Kim Jae-min, Slowly, Seo Do, and Gyuri, are the main characters.

The broadcast closely documents their process of producing new songs that reflect their unique colors as they transform from audition stars into independent artists. The cast will collaborate with producers that match their musical styles, embarking on a fierce journey aimed at creating their 'first hit song' that captures the public's ears.

Netflix Introduces First 'Weekly Sequential Release' Method

Beyond simple reality, survival elements have also been enhanced. The final winner will be determined solely by public choice and actual music chart performance. The focus is on creating 'real hit songs' that can survive in the music industry, rather than just the one-time buzz that audition programs provide.

In particular, Netflix has adopted a 'Weekly Sequential Release' method, presenting two episodes each week. This is interpreted as a strategy to share the musical growth process of the TOP6 in real-time and closely engage with their fandom.

A New Horizon for K-Music Entertainment... A Grand Journey Continuing Until May

Director Hyun Ji-in stated, "I wanted to gift the TOP6, who have just shed their anonymity, a practical foundation to become self-sufficient as artists," revealing the production intent. The combination of Studio Slam's production know-how and Netflix's global network is expected to present a new paradigm for K-music entertainment.

〈Famous Singers Need Hit Songs〉 will begin its grand journey with the release of episodes 1 and 2 on Saturday, February 28, at 5 PM, continuing for a total of 20 episodes until early May.
